FOR PEOPLE WHO PLAN TO USE THE NEXT THIRTY YEARS

Your biology, going the other way.

What if the cells that age can be told to slow down? In 2020, a research team in Tel Aviv published the first human evidence that they can.

THE QUESTION WE STARTED WITH

You are not declining. You are being told to expect to.

Somewhere between fifty and sixty, the script flips. The decade where everything compounded becomes the decade where everything is monitored, treated, managed. Cholesterol, blood pressure, sleep, energy, mood. Each one a separate appointment. Each one a separate prescription. None of them addressing the underlying question.

  • Most medicine treats what aging causes — heart disease, joint pain, cognitive slowing. Almost none of it addresses aging itself.
  • The longevity field has spent thirty years searching for one intervention with real human data — not mouse data, not theory.
  • In November 2020, that data finally arrived. It was not a drug.

This page tells the story of that data — what the trial actually measured, how the mechanism actually works, and why the same modality that produced it has only recently become practical to own at home.

WHAT THE RESEARCH ACTUALLY SHOWS

Four findings from one trial.

Sagol Center for Hyperbaric Medicine, Shamir Medical Center, Tel Aviv University. Published in the peer-reviewed journal Aging, November 2020.

+37.6%

Telomere length increase

B-cell telomere length lengthened by 37.6% after sixty hyperbaric sessions in healthy adults 64 and older. Significant increases observed across T-helper, T-cytotoxic, and natural killer cell populations.

Source Hadanny et al., Aging, 2020

−37.3%

Senescent cell decrease

T-helper senescent cell percentage dropped by 37.3% post-protocol. Senescent cells are the malfunctioning, inflammation-driving cells that accumulate with age.

0.788

Cognitive processing speed

Randomized trial of 63 adults 64+ showed significant global cognitive improvement (p=0.0017). Effect size for information processing speed was 0.788 — a large effect by any psychological standard.

Visible

Cerebral blood flow change

Perfusion MRI showed measurable increases in cerebral blood flow across multiple frontal and parietal regions — and these changes correlated directly with the cognitive improvements.

THE STUDY THAT CHANGED THE CONVERSATION

Dr. Shai Efrati's thirty patients.

When Dr. Shai Efrati's team at Tel Aviv University ran the trial, they were not trying to prove HBOT could reverse aging. They were testing whether a specific protocol — sixty sessions of pressurized oxygen over ninety days — could measurably change biology in healthy adults over sixty-four.

The protocol was precise: one hundred percent oxygen at two atmospheres of pressure, ninety minutes per session, with five-minute air breaks every twenty minutes to prevent oxygen toxicity. Five sessions a week. No drugs. No lifestyle changes. No other interventions.

Three months later, every participant showed measurable telomere lengthening across multiple immune cell populations. Senescent T-helper cells dropped by 37.3%. The authors named the limitations honestly — small sample, no control arm in the telomere study — but the findings have since been reproduced and extended in cognitive function, cardiac ejection fraction, and gene expression. The conversation has moved.

For the first time in humans, it was found that repeated daily HBOT sessions can increase PBMC telomere length by more than 20% in an aging population.

— Hadanny et al., Aging, November 2020

The protocol that produced the 2020 findings: 100% O₂ at 2 ATA, 60 daily sessions across 90 days.

THE MECHANISM

Pressure dissolves oxygen into plasma. Plasma reaches where blood cannot.

Under increased atmospheric pressure, oxygen dissolves directly into blood plasma — not just bound to red blood cells. That dissolved oxygen reaches inflamed tissue, oxygen-starved brain regions, and mitochondria that ordinary breathing cannot.

How pressurized oxygen reaches plasma and tissues that ordinary breathing cannot. 2.0 ATA HBOT CHAMBER 100% O₂ at 2× atmospheric pressure DISSOLVES INTO Plasma not just red blood cells DISSOLVED OXYGEN REACHES Brain — oxygen-starved regions cerebral blood flow ↑ Inflamed & recovering tissue inflammatory markers ↓ Mitochondria SIRT1 + biogenesis ↑

Hyperoxic-Hypoxic Paradox

Intermittent hyperoxia signals the body as if it were hypoxia — activating regenerative pathways without the damage of actual oxygen deprivation.

Hachmo et al., Biomolecules, 2020

HIF + VEGF activation

Hypoxia-inducible factors and vascular endothelial growth factors trigger angiogenesis — the formation of new blood vessels that supply oxygen-starved tissue.

Hachmo et al., Biomolecules, 2020

Stem cell mobilization

HBOT has been shown to increase the body's endogenous circulating stem cells by up to eight-fold within twenty-four hours of a session.

Thom et al., reviewed 2020

Mitochondrial biogenesis

The hyperoxic state activates SIRT1 via NAD+ pathway changes, increasing mitochondrial biogenesis — restoring the cellular fuel system age tends to slow.

WHAT OWNERS REPORT

The research is the proof. Daily life is the point.

Sharper Days

Cognitive clarity, mental stamina, and the focus you used to have without working for it. Most consistent users report changes within weeks.

Used by: executives, founders, longevity-focused 50+ adults

Faster Recovery

Workouts you bounce back from in a day, not three. Soft-tissue repair, reduced inflammation, sleep that actually restores.

Used by: active adults, weekend athletes, post-op patients

Healthspan Compound

Consistent use is linked in published research to cellular regeneration markers and biological-age reduction in older adults.

Used by: longevity-focused buyers planning the long game

ONCE AVAILABLE ONLY IN CLINICS

Why owning the chamber matters more than visiting one.

The protocol that produced the Tel Aviv findings requires sixty sessions, ninety minutes each, five days a week, for three months. The clinical programs that offer the exact protocol — most prominently Aviv Clinics in Florida, founded by the same research group — charge in the range of forty to sixty thousand dollars for the ninety-day course. Plus travel. Plus accommodation. Plus three months away from your life.

The deeper point: the protocol is not where the benefits stop. The literature consistently shows hyperoxic effects compound with continued use. Once you've completed the initial course, ongoing maintenance — two or three sessions per week, indefinitely — sustains and extends the changes.

That is the case for owning the chamber instead of visiting one. A one-time purchase becomes a daily ritual. Which is how biological changes actually accumulate — not from a one-time intervention, but from a routine you can sustain for thirty years.

Daily access is the difference between an intervention and a practice.

HONESTY MATTERS

What we are being careful about saying.

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy for aging is one of the most actively investigated areas of geroscience. The Tel Aviv 2020 trial is the headline study, and follow-on work from the Sagol Center has reproduced and extended the findings in cognitive function, cardiac ejection fraction, gene expression, and other markers. Still — the literature is building.

We are not claiming HBOT cures aging. We are not claiming any specific outcome is guaranteed for any specific buyer. We are not selling a clinical service or making medical claims about your individual health.

We are claiming the research is good enough — and the access is now home-practical enough — that a sophisticated buyer over fifty should know what the evidence actually shows. You decide what to do with the information.

Our role is narrower: connect you with a chamber whose engineering meets the standards used in the studies, install it correctly, and stay with you for the life of the equipment.
